The only reason I feel that way, is because my name is after Thom Merrilin,
a character in the novels of Robert Jordan.
He used to be a court Bard in the palace of Andor but was exiled into
becoming a travelling gleeman. He has more knives hidden on his person than
you can count, and is a rough, tough, street smartish person.
