I put about 25 points into it. I still have over 70 skill
points remaining though. Not sure what I'm saving them for...

I usually beg from a guard just as I'm about to leave a zone.
I've had it succeed twice ("Here Kaearia take this and LEAVE
ME ALONE!"), and the only skill increase was from 0 to 1,
before I dumped in the practice points.

I haven't been attacked either, but I have seen with my own
eyes someone killed by a guard for begging from him (something
like "I hate pitiful beggars like you.").

Heh. That would be nice, but I just get a kick out of the
message when I succeed.

Has anyone noticed that the obscure bard guildmasters seem to
teach all the languages out there? The wandering bard in
Qeynos didn't teach instill doubt, but she did list every
language I'd ever heard about. I'd always wondered where you
learned Elder Tier'dal (kobold) or Dragon, and it turns out to
be from my own guildmasters....
