I'm sorry but in melee a bard will outdamage a cleric or shaman any day.
Especially one with weapons that have procs that go off like mad from the
high dex songs. Believe me they come no where close to melee with the
hyhbrid classes. You have to remeber that Verant's definition of a hybrid is
a mix of skills not weapons or armor which leaves priests to not be hybrids,
by their definition. If you want classify the classes it's a lot easier to
think of Pure Casters as War Mages and Priests as healers.
