I meant sneaking by them. If they're chasing you, putting a
mountain between you and them won't help. I was fighting the
shark at Freeport with my monk, and Giz (dark elf NPC) didn't
attack until I surfaced for air. It's not an experiement I'm
anxious to repeat though.
