Quick note on this topic.

I was grouped with a 40th Wiz last night in unrest. Just us two. I was
helping her kill GDB, and Hags for her Temple quest. 14 levels appart and I
got exp.

just FYI.

There are TWO factors:

1. party member level difference - this get wider as you go up in level
- under 15 - seems to max at 4 or so; at level 33 - I know for sure that it
is greater than 17.
2. mob level - mobs can be TOO RED (too high level) for you to get XP
from even though your other party members get xp.

The more stuff you can kill that has xp for you and the faster you can do it
will gain you level in the shortest period of time. You need to optimize
all of those factors:

# of ded mobs
xp of mob
amount of down time
time between kills

Sometimes a steady diet of blues will yield more xp than a sparse diet of
reds. Now a steady diet of reds and no down time...

I have been told that this is a common method by high level
characters to
powerlevel lower level characters. Like you said, if the
mob gives the
higher level character experience, the lower level character
will gone none.
If the mob does not give the higher level character
experiece, the lower
level one character will get it all.
