Privacy Policy for Manna

Manna (the “App”) is an English and Malayalam Bible verse application developed by Jithin Shaji (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App.
Information we collect
We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal information through the App. The App does not require an account and does not include advertising or analytics services.
Information stored on your device
The App stores your selected theme and verse language, favorite verses and associated image identifiers, and the identifier of the most recently shown notification verse locally on your device. This information is used only to provide the App’s features and is not sent to us.
You can remove favorite verses within the App. Other locally stored App data can be removed by clearing the App’s storage or uninstalling the App.
Internet access and third-party services
The App uses an internet connection to download nature background images from GitHub’s content-delivery service and to interact with Google Play’s in-app update service. When your device connects to these services, their operators may automatically receive technical information normally associated with an internet request, such as your IP address, device or browser information, and request timestamps. Their handling of that information is governed by their own privacy policies:
Notifications
With your permission, the App can display a daily Bible verse notification. Notification permission can be denied or withdrawn at any time in your device settings. Scheduling and selection of these notifications occur on your device.
Sharing
If you choose the Share feature, the App creates a verse image in temporary app cache and opens Android’s sharing interface. The image is disclosed only to the app or recipient you select. The receiving app or service processes the shared content under its own privacy practices. The App removes older generated share images when creating a new one, and Android may also clear cached files automatically.
Permissions
The App requests internet access to load background images and check for updates. On supported Android versions, it also requests notification permission to display daily verse notifications. It does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, or shared media storage.
Data security and retention
Because the App does not send personal information to us, we do not maintain a server-side user database. Locally stored preferences and favorites remain on your device until you delete them, clear the App’s data, or uninstall the App. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, but the App limits its handling of information to what is needed for its features.
Children’s privacy
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users. If you believe that information has been provided to us in connection with the App, please contact us.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App’s features or legal requirements change. Any updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
