Amwali — Privacy Policy

Introduction

This privacy policy describes how the Amwali app ("the app", "we") handles information when you use it. Amwali is a personal finance management app developed by [YOUR NAME / PUBLISHER NAME].

What data is processed

Amwali lets you enter and track your own financial information, including:

Your accounts, balances and currencies
Your budgets, expenses and income by category
Details of your home loan/mortgage (amount, rate, monthly payment)
Your cryptocurrency holdings and stock positions
Your savings goals and Zakat settings

All of this data is entered voluntarily by you within the app.

Where your data is stored

Your financial data stays in your own Google Drive account. Amwali has no central server: when you sign in with your Google account, the app only requests permission to create and read the files it creates itself in your Drive (the drive.file scope), in order to save your data as JSON. We do not have access to any other files in your Google Drive, or to any other data in your Google account.

Authentication

Amwali uses Google Sign-In for authentication. We only receive the information needed to sign you in (account identifier and Drive access token), used solely to sync your data with your own account.

Third-party services used

To display up-to-date prices and exchange rates, the app queries certain external services. These requests contain no personal information about you — only currency, cryptocurrency, or stock ticker identifiers:

Exchange rate API (MAD / EUR / USD conversion)
Cryptocurrency price API (CoinGecko or equivalent)
Stock market price API
Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party for commercial or advertising purposes. Amwali contains no advertising.

Your rights

You remain in full control of your data at all times: it lives in your own Google Drive, and you can view, edit, or delete it directly from your Drive, or revoke the app's access at any time from your Google Account settings.
