I have extensive expertise in behavioral studies combined with physiological recordings (including ECG, heart-rate variability and skin–nerve signals). I also develop analytical tools and structured data workflows that make complex experimental datasets easier to interpret, exchange, and reuse.\n\nA major focus of my current work is the development of research metadata standards and machine-actionable scientific infrastructure. This includes approaches for describing experimental context, provenance, methods, claims, evidence, and analytical outputs in forms that can be used reliably by both researchers and AI systems. I previously developed Metadatapp as an API-first platform for preclinical metadata and now continue this work through open-source projects and consulting activities within Neuronautix.\n\nI also develop tools and collaborative initiatives for automated behavioral phenotyping and home-cage monitoring. I co-developed LWTools, a Python-based toolkit that makes Live Mouse Tracker data analysis more accessible to non-programmers, and I serve as an administrator of TheBehaviourForum.org, an international community dedicated to advancing methods, standards, and discussion in behavioral science.\n\nBefore founding Neuronautix, I conducted more than ten years of academic research in behavioral neuroscience. My work investigated adaptation, stress, coping strategies, social behavior, cardiac regulation, sensory processing, and the role of the skin as an interface between the environment and behavioral adaptation.\n\nThroughout my career, I have advocated for rigorous biobehavioral phenotyping and for precise description and contextualization of experimental data.
