Patient inputs
Enter an age between 1 and 120.
Enter a height between 30 and 260 cm.
Enter a weight between 2 and 400 kg.
Indian risk cut-offs: men >90 cm, women >80 cm. Waist-to-height ratio ≥0.5 is elevated.
Enter a hip circumference between 30 and 250 cm.
Used for waist-to-hip ratio. Risk: men >0.90, women >0.85.
Advanced options
Use adjusted weight when BMI is high, to avoid over-estimating protein needs.

What these mean
- BMI
- Weight (kg) ÷ height² (m²). Categorised with Indian/Asia-Pacific or WHO cut-offs.
- Body fat %
- Estimated from BMI, age and sex (Deurenberg). A population estimate, not a measurement.
- Lean mass
- Fat-free mass = weight × (1 − body-fat %).
- Waist / height & waist / hip
- Central-obesity risk ratios. Waist-to-height ≥0.5; waist-to-hip >0.90 (men) or >0.85 (women) is elevated.
- BSA
- Body surface area (Mosteller), used for drug dosing.
- Ideal / adjusted weight
- Devine ideal body weight, and IBW + 0.25 × (actual − IBW).
- BMR / TDEE
- Resting energy (Mifflin-St Jeor) and total daily energy with the activity multiplier.
- Protein / fat / carbs / fiber
- Daily macro targets; carbohydrate fills the remaining calories.
- Fluid
- 30 mL/kg/day baseline, adjusted for climate, exercise, fever and breastfeeding.
Protein scales 0.8-2.0 g/kg by activity (DRI/ACSM). Fluid uses a 30 mL/kg baseline adjusted for climate, exercise and clinical flags. Always apply clinical judgement for renal, cardiac and paediatric patients.
