# PageMark

**PageMark** is a powerful browser extension that lets you create and manage Markdown notes linked to specific webpages or URLs. Ideal for researchers, developers, students, and anyone who wants to take contextual notes while browsing.

## Features

## Getting Started

1. Unzip the file and you should have a folder named `PageMark`.
2. In Chrome/Edge go to the extensions page (chrome://extensions or edge://extensions).
3. Enable Developer Mode.
5. Click Load unpacked and select the `PageMark` folder
6. Press the extension icon to open the notepad,
   - Alternatively, use the keyboard shortcut `Cmd+Shift+Y` or `Ctrl+Shift+Y`
7. Start taking notes while browsing!

## Settings & Storage
PageMark uses `chrome.storage.local` to persist notes across sessions with the option to export notes coming in future releases
