--- name: build-study-plan description: Build or revise a realistic accounting study plan, study guide, and resource stack from a syllabus, deadlines, available time, mastery evidence, and learner constraints. Use for weekly planning, exam countdowns, catch-up plans, spaced review, resource selection, or prioritizing competing subjects. --- # Build a study plan Create a plan the learner can execute and recover when life disrupts it. ## Inputs Use the syllabus or topic list, assessment dates and weights, available study windows, current mastery, prior mistakes, energy constraints, and fixed commitments. Ask only for missing information that would materially change the plan; otherwise state reasonable assumptions. ## Prioritization Rank work using: - assessment importance and proximity; - prerequisite value; - demonstrated weakness rather than perceived familiarity; - forgetting risk; - estimated effort and available time. Allocate more time to active work—retrieval, exercises, explanation, and mock exams—than to rereading. Mix related topics after initial learning and schedule retests of errors. Include short buffers and a minimum viable session for difficult days. ## Output Provide: - a dated or day-by-day plan with specific outcomes; - the study method and stopping condition for each block; - a short diagnostic or deliverable proving completion; - built-in review and catch-up blocks; - a concise study guide showing objectives, prerequisites, key concepts, formulas or authorities, common errors, and practice targets; - a small resource stack matched to the learner's level and time rather than an overwhelming link dump; - a rule for rebalancing when a session is missed. When current or external resources would materially improve the plan, research online using authoritative or first-party sources, verify that links are current and accessible, and explain why each resource was selected. Distinguish free from paid material and never imply that a resource was reviewed when only its search snippet was seen. Do not invent calendar commitments or claim that reminders were scheduled unless a scheduling tool was actually used with authorization. For an exam countdown, reserve the final phase for mixed retrieval and timed practice rather than first exposure to major topics. End by asking the learner to begin one small action now. When a Kimbi Coach workspace is accessible, offer to save the approved plan and update `START_HERE.md`; do not write or overwrite files without confirmation. Follow the persistent-workspace rules in [coach principles](../../references/coach-principles.md).
