# Privacy Policy — Explain It Chrome Extension

## What data we collect
**None.** Explain It does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our servers.

## Your API Key
Your Anthropic API key is stored **locally in your browser** using Chrome's built-in `chrome.storage.sync` (synced only to your own Chrome profile via Google). It is never sent to any server other than Anthropic's API directly.

## What gets sent to Anthropic
When you select text and click Explain, the selected text is sent directly from your browser to [Anthropic's API](https://anthropic.com) using **your own API key**. This is governed by [Anthropic's Privacy Policy](https://anthropic.com/privacy).

## No tracking, no analytics
We don't use any analytics, tracking pixels, or third-party services.
