--- name: siri-shortcuts description: Run the user's Siri Shortcuts on their Mac through the siri-shortcuts MCP server. Use when the user asks to do something on their Apple devices that a shortcut covers (lights, reminders, notes, messages, focus modes, home scenes) or says "run my shortcut". --- # Siri Shortcuts The `siri-shortcuts` MCP server exposes two tools: - `list_shortcuts` returns one shortcut name per line. - `run_shortcut` takes `name` (exact, case-sensitive) and an optional text `input`, and returns the shortcut's text output. ## Workflow 1. Call `list_shortcuts` once per conversation. Never guess a name. 2. Pick the shortcut whose name matches the request. If none fits, say so and suggest the user create one in the Shortcuts app. 3. Before a shortcut that sends a message, spends money, deletes data, or unlocks a door, confirm with the user. 4. Call `run_shortcut`. Pass the user's text as `input` only when the shortcut uses "Shortcut Input". 5. Report the output. An empty-output message means the shortcut finished without returning text. ## Errors - `not in SIRI_SHORTCUTS_ALLOW` means the user restricted which shortcuts this server may run. Tell them which name to add. - Any other error is the Shortcuts app's own message. Relay it as-is. - If the tools are missing, the server is not running. It needs macOS with the `shortcuts` command (macOS 12 or later).
