This Sanskrit grant was issued from the royal camp at Mēnmātura, in the 5th year of the reign of the Pallava king Mahārāja Siṁhavarman, son of Yuva-Mahārāja Vishṇugōpa, grandson of Mahārāja Skandavarman and great-grandson of Mahārāja Vīravarman. It registers the grant of the village Pīkira in Muṇḍa-rāshṭra, to Vilāsaśarman of the Kāśyapa-(gōtra) and of the Taittirīya-(śākhā).
