This record engraved in archaic Tamil characters with puḷḷis marked for basic consonants, is dated in the 9th year opposite to the 4th year of the reign of Māṟañjaḍaiyaṉ, who is referred to also as Pāṇḍyādhipati-Varaguṇa. The king is stated to have given 537 kaḻañju of gold to . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . -nāṭṭu-vēḷāṉ, out of which four gold paṭṭams and a gold flower were made for decorating the God Tirumalai-Perumāṉaḍigaḷ. The astronomical details contained in the record are unfortunately mutilated.
