This is probably an inscription of Sundara-Chōḷa. It comprises two parts the earlier of which registers the sale of a land by two brothers named Bāradāyaṉ Nārāyaṇaṉ Turutti and Bārādāyaṉ Nārāyaṇaṉ Nakkaṉ of Tirutturutti in Ārkāṭṭukūṟṟam, to the temple to meet the fine (daṇḍakāṇam) of 72 kaḻañju and odd of gold imposed by the assembly of the village upon their brother Nārāyaṇaṉ Śrīmādhavaṉ, who however, seems to have died (or run away) without paying the fine. The land included their own portion also in addition to that belonging to their brother and to Bāradāyaṉ Nārāyaṇaṉ Śrīkaṇṭaṉ alias Nārayaṇaṉ Tāḻi who had stood surety to the defaulterbrother. The latter portion states that on the representation (made by these two brothers and by Tāḻi to the king) that their land was unjustly mixed up in the sale transaction for no fault of theirs, it was restored to them by the king's orders. A portion at the end of the inscription being built in, the exact nature of the conditions of the return is not clear.
