The inscription is built in at the right end. It registers an endowment in gold made by a certain Guṇavaṉ Puttaṉ of Kaḷattūr[-kōṭṭam ?] for a perpetual lamp in the temple to be maintained by the sabhā of Tirutturutti. The donor seems to be identical with Guṇavaṉ Puttaḍi mentioned in No. 273 above from Tillaisthānam, which is dated in the 17th year of the king. The name of his native village is given there as Kumārapāḍi in Vaidāvūr-nāḍu a subdivision of Kaḷattūr-kōṭṭam. The record is assignable to the reign of Āditya I on account of its early script.
