This inscription dated in the 35th year and 469th day of the reign of Māṟañjaḍaiyaṉ is of interest as giving the rules and qualifications which governed the admission of members to the assembly of Māṉanilainallūr, a brahmadēya in Kaḷakkuḍi-nāḍu, and the penalty imposed on those who transgressed these regulations. This is the only stone inscription which gives some insight into the administrative life of a Pāṇḍya village.
