This inscription is engarved in Vaṭṭeḻuttu characters of the early 9th century A.D. It states that a certain Nambirāṉbhaṭṭa-Sōmāśi-Parivirājakar renovated (pudukkudi) something, which refers evidently to the maṇḍapa, where it is found. Though no king's name is mentioned, the record may be attributed to the early Pāṇḍya times.
