This inscription, dated in the [2]4th year, records a gift of 2,000 kuḻi of land by the tāṉattār of the temple of Opporuvarumillāda-Nāyaṉār at Tiruvaṟaiyaṇinallūr in Uḍaikkāḍu-nāḍu ‘on the north bank of the river Peṇṇai’, to Nāgattambaiyaṉ Eḍuttapādampaḍiyāṉ a Vāṇiga of Tirukkōvallūr, for repairing, at their request, the bund of the local tank which had been in ruins for a long time. The record also points out that the lands belonging to the temple had to remain uncultivated owing to breaches in the tank.
