The present inscription states that the pillar (tirunilaikāl) on which it is engraved was the gift of Perumāḷpiḷḷai alias Śōḻakōṉār, an officer (mudali) of Avaṉiāḷappiṟandāṉ Kōpperuñjiṅga, on behalf of his master.
