This inscription states that the temple, evidently the one dedicated to Brahmapurīśvara, along with the maṇḍapa was constructed, for the welfare of Aḻagiya-Pallavaṉ Kō-Nandipaṉmar, by Villi Tiruvaṉ Tirikattarāyaṉ of the village.

The script in which this inscription is engraved may be assigned to the 13th century A.D.

The title Aḻagiya-Pallavaṉ, as pointed out in No. 259 above, is applied to the Kāḍava chiefs Kōpperuñjiṅgadēva I and II and the Nandi mentioned in the present record may be identified with Sundara (Tamil Aḻagiya) Nandipanmar mentioned as a mudali of Nīlagaṅgaraiyar in a record of the 14th year of Kōpperuñjiṅgadēva from VallamS.I.I. Vol. IV, No. 634. in the Chingleput district.
