                    While the glorious Uttama Cōḻa — <hi rend="italic">alias</hi> the glorious king Madhurāntaka, the glorious son of the glorious Cempiyaṉ Mātēvi, <hi rend="italic">alias</hi> the honourable great queen <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>mā-tēvaṭikaḷār</foreign></supplied>, queen <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>tēviyār</foreign></supplied> of the the glorious king Gaṇḍarāditya — was continuously graciously exercising the glorious rule,
                    <supplied reason="subaudible">she<note>That is, Cempiyaṉ Mātēvi.</note></supplied> having had graciously a glorious stone temple for the Lord of Tirunallam raised in the name of the glorious king Gaṇḍarāditya,
                    this<note>That is, the stone sulpture above the inscription.</note> <supplied reason="subaudible">is</supplied> the glorious king Gaṇḍarāditya that <supplied reason="subaudible">she<note>That is, Cempiyaṉ Mātēvi.</note></supplied> had graciously raised<note>That is, "installed".</note>, so that he<note>That is, Gaṇḍarāditya.</note> keeps worshipping the glorious feet of the Lord of Tirunallam in this glorious stone temple.

Mātēvaṭikaḷār <hi rend="italic">alias</hi> the glorious Cempiyaṉ Mātēviyār, queen of Gaṇḍarādityadeva, constructed in the sacred name of her husband <supplied reason="subaudible">viz.,</supplied> the glorious Gaṇḍarādityadeva, a stone temple to the lord <supplied reason="subaudible"><hi rend="italic">i.e.</hi>, the god</supplied> of Tirunallam <supplied reason="subaudible">at the time</supplied> when her illustrious son, <hi rend="italic">i.e.</hi>, the glorious Madhurāntakadeva <hi rend="italic">alias</hi> the glorious Uttama-Coḷa, was graciously ruling. This is <supplied reason="subaudible">the image of</supplied> the glorious Gaṇḍarādityadeva which was <supplied reason="subaudible">caused to be</supplied> made in this sacred stone temple in the posture of worshipping the sacred feet of the lord <supplied reason="subaudible"><hi rend="italic">i.e.</hi>, the god</supplied> of Tirunallam.
