An inscription in the 8-9th century Tamil characters recording the construction of a Viṣṇu temple called Śrī kōil Śrī Vaikuṇṭatēvar by a Brahmin lady Kumāriccāṇi, the wife of a certain Dharman, is found on a slab built into the ceiling of theardhamaṇḍapa of Kariyamāṇikka Vaikuṇṭa Varadarājar temple.
