oe ṭṭṉṟāvatu Three different readings are possible for the regnal year: 61st (Āṟupatt’ oṉṟāvatu), 67th (Āṟupatt’ ēḻāvatu), and 68th (Āṟupatt’ eṭṭāvatu). In , the reading 69th is suggested, but there is not enough space on the stone to accomodate three characters in the gap and obtain Āṟupatt’ oṉpatāvatu. milyi-vaḻi The reading is mīlvaḻi according to . It is possible that mēl-vaḻi is meant. The upper part of the headdress of the left-hand figure (represented below the inscription on the stele) comes between these two lacunae.

This is the stone of having gone , the son of Ammaṇiyaṉār, of Malaiyāṉūr in Mi(l/y)ivaḻi in the Ciṅkapuranāṭu.
