Vēṇarkkaḷiyaṉ fell for the sake of āy the Bāṇa lord when the army of the lord of Maṅkalam marchedvanta Literally: came. upon Iṟamantaivāṭi in Mērkōvalūrnāṭu in Malāṭu.
