<p n="1">Eighth year of the victorious king Kampavikkiramaparumar.<note>Sanskrit Kampavikramavarman.</note></p>
<p n="1">Writ of We, the members of the assembly of Uttaramerucaturvedimaṅgala.</p>
<p n="1-2">For the honourable Mahāviṣṇu of the glorious Govardhana <supplied reason="subaudible">of</supplied> our village, <supplied reason="subaudible">there is</supplied> a land given as <foreign>arcanā-bhoga</foreign>.</p>
<p n="2-3">We have given as <foreign>arcanā-bhoga</foreign> for the honourable Mahāviṣṇu of the glorious Govardhana one thousand two hundred <foreign>kuḻi</foreign>s entirely <supplied reason="explanation">-um</supplied>, through what comes, in our village, <supplied reason="subaudible">as</supplied> <foreign>kuḻi</foreign> <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>kuḻi vanta-v āṟṟ-āl</foreign><note>Literally: by the way <foreign>kuḻi</foreign>s have come.</note></supplied>, south of the land given for the temple <supplied reason="subaudible">of</supplied> Araiyar in the land that lies uncultivated <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>kiṭanta</foreign></supplied> in the middle <supplied reason="subaudible">of the land named</supplied> Malliyāṉ Kārāṇai and east of the tank <supplied reason="subaudible">of the land named</supplied> Malliyāṉ Kārāṇai.</p>
<p n="4-5">This <foreign>arcanā-bhoga</foreign> for the Lord to feed when worshipping <supplied reason="subaudible">him</supplied> <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>u<hi rend="grantha">pāsi</hi>tt’</foreign>, i.e. <foreign>upācitt’</foreign>, <foreign>uṇṇa uṭaiyaṉ-āka</foreign></supplied>, We have given <supplied reason="subaudible">it</supplied> to <supplied reason="explanation">i.e. in the care of</supplied>) Dāmodara-bhaṭṭa, son of the glorious Vaikhānasa Dāmodara-bhaṭṭa <supplied reason="subaudible">of</supplied> our village, and to his sons and grandsons <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign><hi rend="grantha ">putra-pautrikam</hi></foreign>, i.e. hereditarily</supplied> so as to feed <supplied reason="subaudible">the Lord</supplied> when worshipping <supplied reason="subaudible">him</supplied>.</p>
<p n="5-">We have given these one thousand two hundred <foreign>kuḻi</foreign>s entirely <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>-um</foreign></supplied>, declaring <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>paṇittu</foreign></supplied> <supplied reason="subaudible">them</supplied> as tax-free.</p>
<p n="5-6">We, the members of the assembly of Uttaramerucaturvedimaṅgala, have given a garden of delight <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>nanta-vaṉam</foreign>, i.e. Sanskrit nanda-vana</supplied> with <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>iṭṭu-k koṇṭu</foreign></supplied> the fruit-bearing trees <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>payaṉ-maram</foreign></supplied>, including the flower-bearing trees, so that Dāmodara-bhaṭṭa feed <supplied reason="explanation">the Lord</supplied> when worshipping <supplied reason="subaudible">him</supplied>.</p>
<p n="7">I, the glorious Puruṣa Ācārya, have written <supplied reason="subaudible">this</supplied>, at the order of the members of the assembly <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>sabhaiyār paṇippa</foreign><note>Literally: as the members of the assembly ordered <supplied reason="subaudible">me</supplied>.</note></supplied>"</p>
