		<l>So that <supplied reason="subaudible">this temple</supplied> stands as a stone temple <supplied reason="subaudible">made</supplied> with black stones for the Lord <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>īcar</foreign><note>Sanskrit <foreign>īśa</foreign>.</note></supplied> with red matted hairs<note>That is, Śiva.</note> in gracious/perfect/eminent Tiruttaṇi</l>
		<l>Lovingly/with devotion <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>virumpi-y-ē</foreign><note>Literally: having desired.</note></supplied>, the glorious Nampi Appi, who has learned all good arts, beautifully <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>poṟpu amaiya</foreign><note>Infinitive form, literally: so that it agrees with beauty.</note></supplied> made it <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>ceytāṉ purintu</foreign><note>Literally: made it having made it.</note></supplied>.</l>
