the victorious <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>vicaiya</foreign></supplied> Koṟṟaṭaiyā<unclear>ru</unclear>, the servant of the glorious <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>ciri</foreign><note>Sanskrit <foreign>śrī</foreign>.</note></supplied> Kaṅkaraicaru<note>That is, Kaṅkaraiyar.</note>
attacked <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>eṟintu</foreign><note>Literally: having attacked.</note></supplied> and died,
when <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>ñāṉṟu</foreign></supplied>
the glorious Kaṅkaraicaru
made an attack <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>eṟinta</foreign></supplied>
in Caṅkama<unclear>ṅ</unclear>kalam
along with the army <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>paṭai-y-oṭu</foreign></supplied> of
