When the Nuḷampaṉ came with his army upon Āmaiyūr, in the Mēlaṭaiyārunāṭu in the Paṭuvūrkkōṭṭam, and seized cattle, Caṉaṉ, the son of Akalaṅkattuvarāyar, a kāviti of , a servant of Pirutikaṅkaraiyar, fought relentlessly taḷarā, fell and died.
