The gold that I, Paṭāri,Sanskrit Bhaṭāri. wife maṇavāṭṭi of Harinandin, temple-man kōyilāṉ at Ālappākkam, have given for the sake of an unperishable lamp for the Mahādeva of Tiruppulivalam in Uttaramerucaturvedimaṅgala: thirteen kaḻañcus.

This gold, I have given for burning an unperishable lamp with its interest poliyālē.

The great men of the supervision committee vāriyapperumakkaḷ are the protectors of this.

Let the feet of those who will protect this pious act dharma be on my head.

Compare t=ta (line 1) and tta (line 5). Thus first could be encoded as Grantha.

Note rākṣippār, present habitual, and rakṣittār, past. Literally: “of those who have protected.” The honour of taking the feet on the head is placed in the future and, as the reason (the act of protecting) for conferring the honour will take place before conferring of honour, the act of protecting is in past tense.
