This is the stone of he who fell paṭṭāruThat is, probably Kuṉṟakkaṭṭi. when Kuṉṟakkaṭṭi, a relative makkaḷ of , seized cattle when being iruntu in Mēṟkoṉṟaināṭu, on the northern bank of the Peṇṇai river.

There are possibly further lines missing at the beginning.
