The inscription is incomplete. Probably a few more letters are wanting. The significance of these names is not clear. They were probably the
taḷi uḍaiyār (temple priests), as stated in l. 13.
According to This gives the earliest reference to the setting up of the image of god Ganapati, during the Pallava period.
