Seventeenth year of the Lord, the glorious king Rājendra Cōḻa, alias the king Parakesarivarman,

who ... [meykkīrtti of Rājendra I Cōḻa].

Hand-writing of We, the members of the assembly of , which is a brahmadeya in the Mīrvēḷūrnāṭu, itself in the Uṟṟukkāṭṭukkōṭam, itself in the Jayaṅkoṇṭacōḻamaṇṭala.

In the temple of Tanma-mātēvi-māṇikka-ĪśvaraSanskrit Dharmamahādevimāṇikkeśvara. in Kāñcipuram, a nakaram, in the Eyiṟkōṭṭam

Lines 1-6 of the inscription continues in fact on a block of the western base of the maṇḍapa, in continuation of the inscribed blocks of the northern base of the maṇḍapa. The end of lines 1-3 are too much worn-out to be deciphered. The lacuna placed by at the beginning of lines 2-4 is in fact partly at the end of lines 1-3. The end of lines 4-6 are still almost entirely legible. The inscription stops abruptly at the end of line 12, in the middle of a word. It is not clear if the end was ever inscribed or was engraved in continuation on the western base.

Reported in (ARIE/1892-1893/B/1893/15).

Edited (SII 4.828).

Encoded here by Emmanuel Francis, based on and, for the end of lines 4-6, on photos (Nicolas Cane, 2015).
