nāṣi prabākaranu

On the day of Aṉiḻam star, which coincindes with a Thursday, the 10th day of the bright fortnight of the month of Mitaṉa, in Pilavaṅka year, at the time when Vīra Śrī Devarāyar, the great emperor, punisher of the kings who disobeyd royal orders, destroyer of the three kings, was ruling pūrvva-pakṣa-tekṣaṇa-Uttirāpati

This is the manner in which we have engraved the rent-free grant carva-māṉiyam for those who paid the iṭaṅkai tax iṭaṅkai vari among the Paḷḷis who live in Pāṭi, the merchants, and those who belong to the Left-hand caste in the many villages that surround Cantirakiri region to the glorious treasury of the god of Tiruvallitāyam temple in Tiruvallitāyam, in Ampattūr nāṭu, within Vikkiramacōḻa vaḷanāṭu alias Puḻaṟ koṭṭam subdivision in Jayaṅkoṇṭacōḻa maṇṭalam.

So that in this village the itaṅkai tax is rent-free for what concerns the supplies kuṟaivaṟuppukku that are destined to the donations upayattukku that have been collected eḻuntaruḷukiṟa for the hunting ceremony tiru-vēṭṭai of the god, that is, the itaṅkai tax collected among these people, and so that they should collect one third oṉṟu mukkāl paṇam for the tenants kuṭikkuand one half paṇam for the temple watchmen in the district, having agreed like this, we have authorised the inscription.

Having agreed in this manner, we, the merchants who belong to the Left-hand caste in the many villages that surround Cantirakiri region, have done and given an endowment taṉmacātaṉam to the god of Tiruvallitāyam.

We have given this for charity. According to this, I, Mīkāmaveḷāṉ of Left-hand caste, have signed this.
