having the drum beaten <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>taṭṭaḻi koṭṭi</foreign></supplied> at the time of Kārttikai—which this year happened on a Thursday of the Dhanu month—, having deliberated in the great assembly <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>cāṟṟi</foreign></supplied>, having gathered together in the <foreign>maṇḍapa</foreign>, and having sat and graciously risen, have given, as long as the sun and the moon endure, for the maintenance <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>koḷvataṟku</foreign><note>Literally, "for obtaining".</note></supplied> of the holy offering <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>śrīpali</foreign></supplied> and of the awakening <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>tiruppaḷḷi eḻucci</foreign></supplied>, for our <supplied collect taxes/fines <gap reason="ellipsis"/>. </p> <p n="19-28"> So that, in this manner, there be <supplied reason="subaudible">provisions</supplied> for the <supplied reason="subaudible">service of</supplied> beating <supplied reason="subaudible">of the drums</supplied> <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>koṭṭuvataṟku</foreign></supplied> <supplied reason="subaudible">at the time
