<p n="1">Prosperity! Fortune!</p>
<p n="1-4">In the 15th regnal year of Kōṉēṟiṉmaikoṇṭāṉ, the emperor of the three worlds, <supplied reason="subaudible">a order was issued</supplied> in Kāñcikkūval <foreign>nāṭu</foreign> for the Kaṇmāḷars. The blowing of the the two conches <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>iraṭṭai-c-caṅkum</foreign></supplied> and the beating of all <supplied reason="subaudible">the drums</supplied>, including the kettle-drum <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>pērikai</foreign></supplied>, for their auspicious and inauspicious occasions <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>nammai-tiṉmaikku</foreign></supplied> shall be granted and they should keep outside <supplied reason="subaudible">these instruments</supplied> as their <supplied reason="subaudible">emblems</supplied>.</p>
<p n="4-6">Shoes <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>pātarākṣai</foreign></supplied> are to be authorised while they make journey,<note>Literally "for places"</note> their houses have to be smeared with sandal paste <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>cāntu</foreign></supplied> and a document has to be attained.</p>
<p n="6-7"><supplied reason="subaudible">These orders</supplied> shall be engraved on stone and copper in <supplied reason="subaudible">all</supplied> the places.
<supplied reason="subaudible">Issued</supplied> in the 15th year.</p>
