This gopura is a pious donation tarumamSanskrit dharma. of/by Ye. Cu. Ayyācāmi Piḷḷai and company kampeṉiyārLiterally: those in his company..

The blocks are (in 2025) on the top of the compound wall on both sides of the gopura. Old pictures show that they were originally on the gopura itself and moved from there when renovation took place in 2004.
