Prosperity! In the twenty-ninth year of the reign of king Parakēsarivarman who conquered Madirai,―when cattle were lifted[p. 179, fn. 2] The expression toṟu=kkoḷḷa, ‘to lift cattle,’ is used also in the two Ambūr inscriptions, No. 23 [EI 22.23] below. at Mukkuṭṭūr by the Perumānaḍigal―Vadunavāraṉ Varatan Tāṇṭaṉ, having recovered them, fell.

Twenty-ninth year of the king Parakesarivarman who took Maturai.

When Perumāṉaṭikaḷ seized cattle in Mukkuṭṭūr, He who fell recovering it is Vatunavāraṉ Varataṉ Tāṇṭaṉ.
