DHARMAbase Vīrarājendra = Kulottuṅga Cōḻa III. Record of the construction of the temple, the consecration of the Kṣetrapāla Records the construction of a shrine for and consecration of the image of Kṣētrapāla in the temple of Nalla-Nāyaṉār at Nallūr by Āṭavalla-Nambi of Koṭumpuṉam, who is stated also to have endowed a quarter vēli of wet land for offerings and lamps to the deity.

This is the sixth year of king Vīrarājendra Kulottuṅga III.

I, Koṭumpuṉavantēvaṉ Aṭavallaṉ Nampi, have set up the guardian deity kṣetrapāla piḷḷai for the god Nalla-nāyaṉār of Nallūr, built the shrine kōyilum eṭuppitu, and endowed iṭṭa a quarter of wet-land–situated in the settlements of [these] five people–for the sacred lamp tiruviḷakku and the food offering tiruvamutu paṭi in the temple of the Lord Nalla-nāyaṉār.

We, the residents of Koṭumpuṉavam Koṭumpuṉavaṉ Ciṅkantēvar Ciriya Malaiyamāṉ, Paṭaiyaṉ Ceyaṅkoṇṭa Malaiyamāṉ, Tēvatirucciṟṟampala Malaiyamāṉ, Amattai Kūvāṉ, and Paṭiyaṉ Nāṭaṉ, have given this endowment for this town itu ivvūr after we, such people ivv-aṉaivōm, poured water on the holy feet of the deity piḷḷai

Whoever alters this itu māṟuvāṉ will become the husband of his own mother ammaikku tāṉē.

This is the oath cattiyam of Vallavaraiyaṉ.

This will be under the protection of the Śaiva devotees as long as the sun and the moon remain.
