        For the Lord <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>āḷvār</foreign></supplied> <supplied reason="subaudible">of</supplied> the glorious Tiruvāvaṭutuṟai <supplied reason="subaudible">in</supplied> Cāttaṉūr, <supplied reason="subaudible">which is</supplied> a <foreign>brahmadeya</foreign> in the Tiraimūrnāṭu on the southern bank,
        <supplied reason="subaudible">there is</supplied>
        a land that I, Tāyaṅ Kaṭaṉ, lord of Vīramāṅkuṭi in the Mīraikkūṟṟam, a servant of him<note>That is, the Lord of Tiruvāvaṭutuṟai.</note>,
        obtained tax-free from <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>iṭai</foreign></supplied> the members of the assembly <supplied reason="subaudible">of</supplied> Ciṟupuliyūr,
        and
        a land, made tax-fee, obtained <supplied reason="subaudible">in</supplied> Ciṟṟāṉaiccūr.

        The boundaries of <supplied reason="subaudible">these</supplied> lands, made tax-free, after obtaining <supplied reason="subaudible">from me</supplied> the gold deposited with <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>iṭaiyum</foreign>?</supplied> the members of the assembly of these two <supplied reason="subaudible">villages</supplied>, so as to take care of the taxes <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>iṟai kāppat’ āka</foreign><note>That is, to secure the payment of taxes with the capital interest.</note></supplied>, as long as the moon, are <supplied reason="subaudible">as follows</supplied>:
