Ōm. the asylum of the whole world, favourite of Fortune and Earth, great Emperor, supreme Lord, supreme Master, ornament of Satyāśraya's race, embellishment of the Cāḷukyas, Tribhuvanamalla-vallabha:-

Hail! a nectar-rayed Moon in the sky of the blest Cāḷukya lineage, the lotuses of whose feet are placed upon the heads of bowing monarchs; whose own puissance is vast as the sport of the quarters of space with the creeping-plant of his stainless personal glory; an incarnate Nārāyaṇa-as such is king Vikramāditya renowned.

The hostile Cōḷika comes not to the battlefield; the Lāḷa's play has been put far away; the Malepas, straining hard, show not their heads; the Koṁkanas are quivering all like water on a lotus-leaf; other foes have been extinguished like a lamp exposed to the wind: such is Vikrama's faultless prowess.

This monarch's condition on the earth has become exalted, as the rays of the mighty sword in his arms have spread abroad and overcome many multitudes of haughty foes.

While the victorious reign of king Tribhuvanamalla, who is thus renowned, was proceeding in a course of successively increasing prosperity, to endure as long as moon, sun, and stars.-

She who is his soul's darling-hail!-who shares in the enjoyment of the fruits of thousand of issues of unceasing supreme felicity: who reveals in possession of fortunes choicest in mortal life; a manifest Laksmī resting on the broad bosom of that Nārāyaṇa among kings; a goddess of spring in the Nandana-park of youth; she who sports in mastery over the series of all the arts; a mistress of the arts of pleasure: delighting king Vikramāditya's soul; crushing th conceit of rival wives; raising intense joy in Cāḷukya Rāma's heart; dispensing a constant rain of priceless jewels and golden bracelets; pure in her ceaseless and perfect righteous power and conduct; having goodly graceful limbs: a head-jewel among actors enacting wisdom; a wishing-jewel of bounty; shattering of the conceit of stainless rival wives; adorning the face of the whole sereglio; dwelling on king Tribhuvanamalla's broad bosom: to wit, the Senior Queen Lakṣmā-dēvi:-

A jewel of women; the Fortune of the kingdom of the faultless Aṅgaja i.e. Cupid; a lotus of sport; winning the approval of all the people in the world; a tree of desire conveniente for Brahmans; having glory stainless as the Celestial River Ganges; a holy genius arising from the nature of Vikramāditya the lord of the whole world-such is Lakṣmā-dēvi in the domain of earth.

The Senior Queen Lakṣmā-dēvi, who is thus renowned while reigning at the standing camp of Kalyāṇa with enjoyment of pleasant conversations, on the occasion of the conjuction of the uttarāyaṇa on Tuesday, the ninth day of the dark fornight of Puṣya in the 9th Cāḷukya-vikrama year, the cyclic year Raktākṣi, assigned with outpouring of water to Sōmēśvara-paṇḍita-dēva, of the temple of Acalēśvara in the capital city Sūṇḍi, who-hail!-posseses the merits of practice of the major and minor disciplines: scriptural study, meditation, spiritual concentration, observance of silence, prayer, and absorption, for the dispensation of the god, the town of Poṁgari, situate within the Kisukāḍ seventy on universally respected tenure.
