Śrī Śailamuni

The name was found on a beam in the verandah of the seventh cave temple at Bhairavakoṇḍa19. The nature of the name (≈ "holy man of the mountain (perh. Himalaya)" may rather point towards a high ranking religious person who visited the place than towards a craftsman who worked there; he might, however, have been a donor as well.

The inscription was noted in A. R. No. 278 of 1922 and was first edited by J. Ramayya Pantulu with few metadata and without picture (1953).
