As G. Cœdès stated, the inscription is dated from the same year as the foundation of the Prasat Thom of Koh Ker by Jayavarman IV. But the king isn't named so we can't say for sure whether the Prasat Beng Vien was under his authority or those of the king Harṣavarman Ier, also ruling in Yaśodhapura at that time.
