Nicolaas Johannes Krom translated nirupataptakāyacitta as "the thought of the body not being purified", or another alternative translations proposed by him is "a not purified body and mind" or "someone who has a mind and body not purified". According to him, such term would not be misplaced in connection with a preceding abhidhyā and vyāpāda.
