The short and long forms of the ulu and suku are often not distinguished, with the scribe using the corresponding short forms for ī and ū. Word-final anusvāra is often omitted, and there is persistent confusion between pa, ma, and ha, e.g. the repeated error kamuAṁ for kapuAṁ. In the word maṁguñjai, the diacritic -ai was written to very closely resemble ra (2r4) and ri (7r5) at the time of reissue.

There are certain spelling idiosyncrasies throughout, such as Ityaivamadhi for Ityaivamādi (7v4,7v5, 8r1) and vadəhati for vadihati (4r1, 8r2). Similar to other tinulad texts, there is a general preference for using pasangan and diacritic vowels at word boundaries, instead of virāma and independent vowels (e.g. pasuk alas· instead of pasuk· Alas· in 2v1 and molih amaliṁ instead of moliḥ Amaliṁ in 8r1).

A number of the above-mentioned errors are easily explained as based on misinterpretation of an earlier script form and thus lend a certain credibility to the global textual fidelity of this reissue vis-à-vis the 10th-c. original: a faithful attempt seems to have been made to reproduce an original, as opposed to a scenario of rigorous editing at the time of reissue.

The text was read by Wayan Jarrah Sastrawan and Arlo Griffiths in November 2021–January 2022, using Boechari’s edition () as base text, collated with readings by Barrett Jones ().
