The scribe on several occasions confuses pepet with short or long ulu. The distinction between ulu and cecak is sometimes not clearly made.

8018 808 168-169 demonstrated the need to make the correction to 818. nārə The fact that this is not spelled nāR̥ might suggest we have another case of erroneous use of pepet for long ulu, i.e., that we should correct to nārī. Aṅgān· Arṅgan· Cohen Stuart indicated hesitation by placing (?) after his reading, but his reading is doubtlessly correct. Air pəluṁ gḍa pəluṁ Air pəluṁ The restitution was first proposed by 81 and silently applied by Boechari. bratmahmā bratmahma bratma 586 cites this passages with silent application of the correction adopted here. ra tuni ratu-ni ratuniṁ 202 proposes the analysis adopted here. vurun· vvaḥ 5873 commented: On pourrait se demander s'il ne faut pas lire « wurun dwah », mais ce n'est pas plus satisfaisant.

169 suggested that this charter might be what he called a copie conforme, i.e., a copy made some time after the date inscribed in the charter. This, he proposed, would help to explain the relatively high incidence of scribal error.
