Very peculiar script, characterized by characters with square angles and very long descenders. For a similar way of tracing the repha, compare with the Sukhamrta plates. Different notation of numbers, especially for 3, 4 and 5.

The project DHARMA has received funding from the European Research Council (ERC) under the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme (grant agreement no 809994).

Public URIs with the prefix bib to point to a Zotero Group Library named ERC-DHARMA whose data are open to the public.

the river, for a distance of 322 fathoms, adjoining with the land of Dharma and the land of Paḍiṅḍiṅ,

A number of toponyms appear in this inscription: the adjoining lands are called Dharma, Paḍiṅḍiṅ, Paṅeran and Pajənvan. Some of them appear in other inscriptions of the Majapahit period (paṅeran in the Tuhanyaru inscription (5r5-6), and both pajnon and paṅeran in the Manah i Manuk inscription) (5v2), which might allow us to situate the sīma in question more precisely in Majapahit's geography.

One further finds several mentions of an interesting river (kali) apparently called dharmaga. This toponym might have originally been an epithet qualifying the river. The noun "Dharmaga" is very likely to share etymological ties with the modern term "dermaga", which means "embankment", "quay", an infrastructure which indeed is known to have been built along rivers in the Brantas plain. It could be connected to a particular feature of the landscape, that is, Check OJO CXVII. Check also Damais for toponyms? And Setten van der Meer?
