# WebSkins Privacy Policy

## Overview

WebSkins is a Chrome extension that generates custom CSS skins for websites using AI. Your privacy is important to us.

## Data Collection

WebSkins collects and processes the following data:

- **Website content**: The extension reads the current page's HTML structure (DOM) to provide context for AI-powered CSS generation. This data is sent to the Anthropic Claude API using your personal API key and is not stored by WebSkins.
- **Screenshots**: The extension captures screenshots of the active tab to evaluate and improve generated skins. Screenshots are sent to the Claude API and are not stored by WebSkins.
- **API Key**: Your Claude API key is stored locally in Chrome's storage on your device. It is never sent to any server other than Anthropic's API.
- **Saved skins**: Generated CSS skins are stored locally in Chrome's storage on your device.
- **Published skins**: If you choose to publish a skin to the community marketplace, the skin's CSS, name, description, target domain, and your chosen display name are sent to our marketplace server.

## Data Usage

- Website content and screenshots are used solely to generate and improve CSS skins via the Claude API.
- No user data is sold or transferred to third parties.
- No user data is used for advertising, analytics, or tracking purposes.
- No personally identifiable information is collected unless you voluntarily provide a display name when publishing to the marketplace.

## Third-Party Services

- **Anthropic Claude API**: Website content and screenshots are sent to Anthropic's API for CSS generation. This is done using your personal API key, and Anthropic's privacy policy applies to that data.
- **WebSkins Marketplace API**: Only data you explicitly choose to publish (skin CSS, name, description, domain) is sent to our marketplace server.

## Data Storage

- All user data (API key, skins, preferences) is stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage API.
- No data is stored on external servers unless you explicitly publish a skin to the community marketplace.

## Data Deletion

- Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data.
- To delete a published skin from the marketplace, contact us at fainir2006@gmail.com.

## Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
