The toolkit root is two directories above this skill folder and contains `plugin.json` and `pipeline.py`. Verify those files exist; if the skill was copied alone, locate the intact toolkit before executing helpers. Read `resources/AI-INTEGRATION.md`, `resources/CAPABILITIES.json` and `resources/COMPUTER-USE.md`.

Ask the engineer, preferably with the host's native question widget: their CAD target and existing document, manufacturing/process constraints, intended first small task, desired review checkpoints, and acceptable research/runtime budget. Avoid requesting credentials in chat.

Run `python <plugin-root>/pipeline.py doctor` for local inventory. Read `resources/PLATFORM-SETUP.md` before probing configured optional CAD/solver executables with `scripts/environment_doctor.py`. Separately discover actual host tools for questions, research, browser/computer use and optional delegation. The shell doctor cannot establish these. Report callable/installed/unavailable/unverified separately. Follow the actual runtime's tool skills and permissions; do not invent a universal computer-use API.

Create a project workspace with `pipeline.py init`, leaving the installed plugin unchanged. Run a representative native authoring/edit/export probe in the chosen CAD backend before promising full automation. For Onshape, verify a normal native feature tree, an upstream parameter edit and regeneration, and actual export/readback. For FreeCAD, the bundled small example can test the local route.

Present optional plugin/software installation instructions and the concrete need; do not silently install a collection of services. Use the existing host browser/computer-use integration when available. Recipient accounts, login, client permissions and proprietary extensions are set up separately. If a route fails, preserve evidence and offer a supported alternative without calling the target complete.
